Our client requires translation of a highly specialised legal text of over 100,000 words within 5 weeks at most and, subsequently, a thorough control of the translation and validation by a lawyer so as to file the document in a trial of international interest. Given that the Commission’s internal translators cannot meet the time requirements of the project, it is decided that the project should be assigned to our company based on its reputation, quality certification, as well as full support, promptness and willingness shown by our partners from the very first contacts with the Commission officials. Part of the necessary terminology is provided along with the original text.

All Translations Centre gradually completes a very large translation project, with specific requirements both in terms of quality and terminology, given the international nature of the case for adjudication and the specialised nature of the text, and in terms of timelines. All Translations Centre cooperates for two years with the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications & Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP-www.eoppep.gr) on the basis of successive contracts signed to provide translation services in various actions and programmes undertaken by the Organisation over time.

The most recent contract, which is still under development and concerns the translation of specialised “European texts” with an estimated word count of 120,000, is part of the project “Provision of translation services of the deliverables by International Experts in the framework of the Technical Bulletin of the Approved Action “Development of the National Certification System of Non Formal Education and Informal Learning Outputs” (AP1, AP2, AP3)”, related to the translation of the following deliverables:

UNIT 1: a. “Basic planning orientations, Certification & Licensing Systems compatibility testing and mapping of their interconnection with international standards and European practices”, and b. “System Design Updating based on the consultation results”.

UNIT 2: a. “Design of the Certification Bodies Licensing System”.

Our client needs a translation of its entire website in Russian with quite a limited time horizon and exclusively by translators whose mother tongue is Russian, in order to achieve the required localisation of information.ProjecProject award followed a tender based on criteria such as the competence and qualifications of the translator to be assigned the project, and the most competitive price.

The customer is launching a tender for translation from English into Greek, Russian and Albanian of high volumes of multi-page documents concerning the project «Commun-AID – Increasing the capacity of domestic workers of different origins to respond to sexual violence through community interventions -based», co-funded by the European Union under the scheme DAPHNE III (JUST/2011/DAP/AG/3272). The requirements of the project under the Community programme are particularly high and impose, inter alia, on-site presence and participation of the candidate / contractor and its collaborating translators in meetings with programme executives until project completion.

All Translations Centre participates in the tender with success thanks to its competitive prices in all three language pairs and, above all, thanks to the flexibility of its infrastructure, through which a constant monitoring of the project and a direct, in situ response to all problems that may arise at each stage of completion, is achieved. The project was completed within the predefined timeframe, after a titanic effort of both translators/partners and Project Managers/Supervisors assigned by All Translations Centre, given the tight delivery schedule, constant communication with the Coordinator/Scientific Editor and Proof-reader of the Hellenic Open University for further comments, clarifications and corrections, the need of successive changes and integrations of new elements in the text, as well as the improvement and updating requirements of translated texts so as to meet the new scientific data and information that may arise from the implementation of the Hellenic Open University Curricula.

All Translations Centre has successfully participated in the tender launched by the General University Hospital of Heraklion concerning the translation from Greek into English, French, German, Italian and Russian of guidance documents relating to information for foreign patients about the hospital admission process and medical expenses.

The project was implemented successfully within tight schedules and with the cooperation of translators of various specialties given that many of the texts combined terminology which fell across various sectors and fields of knowledge (medicine, nursing, financial, legal and other). Responding to continuous changes of texts requested was always prompt and successful.

Interpretation and Translation Services for the MEDICAL / HOSPITAL SECTOR

Our client, one of the major medical, nursing, maternity and research centres in Greece, the name of which we do not disclose for reasons of confidentiality, needed numerous translations of specialised medical texts, as well as of other administrative, financial and legal documents, and a two-day interpretation service of eight hours per day from two professional, specialised interpreters with excellent knowledge of medical terminology, in the context of an inspection and quality certification procedure by an international accreditation body concerning services provided by our client.
